POSTCARDS from the PEAKS walks!
Our walks are open to everyone, whether you are climbing your first peak or your fiftieth. On each hike, I will be carrying a bright red postbox weighing 26kg to the highest points across all 15 of our beautiful national parks. It is a symbolic act of connection, community and hope, because loneliness can feel like climbing a mountain alone, but connection makes the journey easier.
We have chosen each national park's highest point, offering a wonderful variety in both challenge and accessibility. The peaks range dramatically, with one summit as low as 40 metres. Each walk will be clearly graded and will include details on accessibility. All walks are free to join, but donation are welcome.
If you are worried about pace, please do not be! I’ll be carrying a cast iron Royal Mail postbox in flip flops after all! Rest assured, nobody will be left behind; if anything, you might end up waiting for me at the summit!
Every walk is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, explore diverse landscapes and send postcards from the top to brighten someone's day. If you cannot join a walk, you can still take part in our postcard campaign using our simple online form. We would love you to be part of this adventure!
